The walking wood each create their own tools based upon their profession.

Each member contributes to the health of the village, the soil, and the Great Tree in whatever ways they can. Since not all absorb the same amounts of information when eating their way to the outside world, the overall knowledge passed on by the Great Tree is scattered among the villagers in various amounts.

As such, the villagers take on whatever skills they have the most affinity for as their profession. They refer to these skillsets as their "contributions.”
